Apple Orchard Field Trip

We had a great field trip to the apple orchard! It was a beautiful day and the kids had a great time.

Here is Bobby the apple tree on the wagon ride through the orchard.

Everyone got to pick some apples to take home!

We all tasted two different kinds of apples and drank some apple cider! Yum!

We learned 3 very important things about apples: 1. Apples like it cold, 2. Apples like it wet, 3. Apples like it dark. Can you guess which one they are learning now?

We learned about how bees help make apples. Alivia helped us learn by dressing as a beekeeper.

Here we are watching the sorting machine and learning about how apple cider is made!

All About Germs!

Our school nurse came to talk to us about germs! We learned that some germs are helpful germs but others can make us sick. We practiced covering our mouths with the inside of our elbows when we cough. We also got to see all the germs on our hands by looking at our hands under a blacklight. Finally, we washed all those germs away with some hand sanitizer and learned about the best way to wash our hands in the bathroom to get rid of "poop germs"! Ha! Happy Handwashing!

Constitution Day!

We went to the gym for our first school presentation. The students learned about the Constitution and sang patriotic songs they had practiced in music class. A lot of us were festive in our red, white, and blue.
